Hard locking with catalyst 6.1's

I installed it on the 18th (omega drivers), i've got a 9500 np softmodded.

had the 5.8xx whatever, they worked great. a little slow in BF2, but just fine.

but with these, in battlefield 2, or when using random movie types (.mpeg, .3gp), it HARD locks.

any ideas? fresh install or try something else. i sort of need the omegas for the soft mod aspect
