I just picked up a p5wd2-E but didn't have time to rearrange other rigs so i put an idle 830 i had into it.

This 830 i guess maxes at 265 fsb (pcmark04 score)... my other 830's seem to max out there too (one will run 275 but gets too hot folding on air)..

So this 830 has been run on a p5ld2, p5wd2 and p5wd2-e, all with very similar results.

Will be putting a 920 into it this weekend? once i shuffle a few other rigs around to free up a woater system for it.

any idea how benchmarks such as mem bandwidth are effected from just the chipset upgrade?

maybe OC hasnt increased, but efficiency has...

Looks about the same at least on the 830 ... 894 ppd earlier today ... before i lowered fsb to 260 from 265 due to 1 qmd eue'ing while i was at work... i just restarted the qmd from initial state since i had network disabled.

these 830's just don't have any more in them.

The 920 tests may be a better comparison point.
