when is this new platform due out? im looking at geting a new cpu on the 10th feb (payday) but am unsure if i should wait for the new platform. what do u think?

AM2 is scheduled for Q2 2006. Heard rumblings about it not being on time (later rather than earlier).

It'll be a while. Rumors have it that it was pushed back to around June or so. But my guess it that affordable CPUs won't come out until late 2006 or early 2007.
