Anything free for DVD Authoring?

Well, right now I'm recording the winter X-Games with my HD-350, and I would like to convert them to dvds. They are 12MBit mpeg 2 files, adding in at ~5 gigs per hour. The software that came with my tuner card blows, I would like to know if there is anything free that I can use to convert them to .vobs?

As long as they are in .m2v format you can just put them in too IFOEdit.
