K8N-E Deluxe BIOS Update problems

this is the first time i've had a problem with updating a BIOS.

First off, my asus cd that came with the board will not be read by any cd drive that I have (i have tried 3 different drives). So I dont have the windows based update system provided by Asus, and I also failed to find a download for it.

I want to update my bios to the latest possible, but using the EZ Flash method doesnt work for some reason. I press Alt+F2 to access EZ flash, but EZ Flash requires a .rom file, and the bios file I downloaded is a .AMI file.

Im really at a loss here.

Any ideas?

the bios should be in .bin format... not sure with the easyflash, but with award bios flash anyway
