So keep everything the way it is and just try them out? I have not put them in yet. Or start them at stock settings to try for 1:1@250FSB

Guess I should just put them in and see what happens.

OK installed the pc4000 2 GB OCZ kit FSB 250 Stock timing 3448 3:2
I was able to get my old PC3200to at least boot into windows.
This stuff crashes at FSB265 any suggestions? My settings are uptop.

Thanks

I just got the same OCZ Gold PC4000 2 gig sticks. I had problems too at the beginning. My needed to be "burned in", which means I keep running Prime95 over and over again. I would get about an hour further each time in Prime95. Here's where mine ended up.

Opty 165 w/ Gigabyte K8NSC-939
278X9, DDR508, 2.6v
3-4-4-8 2T

Prime Stable 12 hours, Memtest stable 12 hours, SuperPI 32m Pass

Mine didn't like any voltage over 2.6v, even though they are rated to run at 2.8v

Are you runnings both kits at the same time?

No. Just the 2GB of PC4000 in the 1 and 3 slots
Stock timings 3448 (Since I don't know what to change LOL)
Everything else remains the same from my first post.

I'll go study the stickies for awile....again. :)

Matserbs is the 278 # in your post your FSB speed?
And what does the x9 stand for?

Try running 2T if you can get your FSB to 275. That should give you the same speed as 265MHz and 1T just a faster cpu clock.

For additional tweaks you could try voltage, drivestrength options, Trfc, and Trc. Those settings seems to be second in stability to the regular CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS.

Thanks again
Not sure that I have those settings in my BIOS. I will check right now.
The settings in my first post are everything I think I have in the chipset menu.
