Hello all. I recently ran Benchmark for the first time on my current system. My score was 3422. You can view my page here. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=102545

I was very shocked with the CPU results, and even the graphic card result. I assembled my computer by my self with little knowledge, so I hope the power stuff is ok. Anyways, it was a costly system and I am pretty shocked that it did this crappy. Do I have some settings wrong? Do I need more fans? Is there something internally wrong? Externally wrong?

Here is my current system, included are links...:

It's running games good, but the benchmark test-- I was hitting (On graphic tests) 6-10 frames per second often. On the CPU tests, I was hitting .04 frames per second.

Thank you!

3DMark06 is just a beast. Even for many of the higher end systems it looks like a slideshow. . .

For the satisfaction of actually seeing a nice smooth (and still pretty) display, you might want to use 3DMark05 or even 3DMark03 to test your system with different settings.

you increased the res. if u just let everything normal then u would get the normal 3d mark that u can compare with everyone. ure 3d mark goes down then u increase settings that strains your card more. put everything back and u should get the normal score. which would be i think mid-hi 7000's for 3d mark and 4800~ for the cpu. it seems that the increased system bus of ocing ure cpu bumps ure mark up more then when comparing actual clock speed of the proccessor. by this i mean my 3500+ @ 220 so 2.42 ghz lost to a 3200+ @ 236 mhz fsb to cpu clock @ 2360 mhz and he beet me by a good 300-400 points. so ocing will help ure proccessor out quiteabit too :)

im not too knowledgeable in benchmark tests and what not, but might want to consider a more powerful power supply. 350 seems kinda low.

The scores you posted are very normal for a 7800GT on 3dmark06 without an OC. The CPU score is normal for a single core CPU running at that slow of a speed.

Just noticed that none of your links work, all has the "......" in the middle, lol.

You definitely might want to consider a stronger PSU for that 7800GT. You'd want something with at least 20A on the 12V+ rail. The Forton AX500-A for $70-80 is a great PSU, anything above that is the OCZ Powerstream520 for $120.
