i have the money.

Why get a single core 4000+ San Deigo when you could score a X2 3800+ or Opteron 165 for less or the same price? I'd suggest the Opty over the X2 but if you wanna save some cash on the X2 and get yourself a DFI Ultra-D insted :D

get a x1900xt for $500 unless your getting a x1800 for way less, also look into a Antec P-160 case for your price range of the tsunami, i had that case and it was way to small and cramped, the P-160 is much better for around the same money.

I think you could change a few things but I would like to focus on your video card right now:

Why would you purchase an X1800 for $509 when you can get an X1900XT for the same price but with a 20% to 30% increase in performance?

The connect3d brand is listed at $509 on Newegg:

Agreed on the Opty and DFI, and you might want to look into a x1900xt since they seem to be the same price as the 1800's and they're a bit better.

y not get the NEC 3550A instead? its like ~$40 and u get a dvd burner instead of just a combo drive.

also, if ur going all out, y not get a SATAII drive or a WD Raptor? or u can even get 2 sata drives and raid them! lol i dunno if that interests u, but it seems like its a 'why not' situation if u want a complete setup.

and u might want to get a floppy drive (if u decide to go the sata route). i needed one to install my wd sata raptor drive. im sure u can make a boot disc too, but a floppy drive is like $10 -_-.

I also recommend stepping up as much as you can with the hard drive spec. If money is a problem maybe consider a 36 Gig raptor for around $100 for the boot drive, and use an old larger capacity drive for data. If money is no issue then consider a single 74G or 150G Raptor for the boot drive, or 2 X 7200rpm SATAII drives. But your hard drive should not be frowned upon, and should also be taken into careful consideration when ordering a new rig.

PSU looks good but I would also considering stepping up to an OCZ Powerstream 520 or a Silverstone Zeus 560. A lot of good information can be found currently about those two PSU's in the Cases and Power Supply forums.

Thanks for all teh suggestions and keep them coming, Dom can you link me with the power supply and harddrive you are looking at??Thanks

As of now.. I have changed the Processor to an: AMD Dual-Core Opteron 265 Italy 1GHz FSB Socket 940 Processor Model OSA265CBBOX

and the case to a Antec SUPER LANBOY Silver anodized aluminum ATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Retail
Model #: SUPER LANBOY

Don't change the PSU. It's Fortron, the prince of power supplies. I agree with the guys on the harddrive and video card. Nothing beats a DFI Ultra D and a Opty 165 for an awsome system.

Once you go RAID you never go back. If you want capacity or can't afford a raptor 2 Seagate 7200.9s in RAID 0 is pretty sweet.
