Overclockix hardrive install problem...

hello, trying to install Overclockix into hardrive but installation never ends. I know there is an issue on the name that has to be placed during configuration that can be resolved by placing "knoppix" at the prompt but it didn't work. Overclockix is version 3.79.
What am I missing?

I had a similar problem installing....it would hang at 60% when installing home directory. (?)

I'd recommend using a different distro for a hard disk install. Although Knoppix can be installed to a hard disk, it is really intended for use as a LiveCD. I'd recommend trying Ubuntu or Kubuntu (if you want to use KDE instead of Gnome) as they are both Debian based like Knoppix.

Around 60%... I know that there is an issue with the name and I tried with "knoppix" and "Knoppix" but it didnt work with either one...

The reason why I am trying to install Overclockix is cause of the "burn-in" software it offers.... I know Windows has testing software as well but that is just for testing, not true burn-in.

I am using the CD right now but it's kind of boring waiting to load it everytime I want to switch OS.

What software, specifically? You can probably install it with almost any distro.

Memtest and NVCLOCK basicaly, and CpuBurn I am starting to learn how to use it.

If it runs on one, it (almost for sure) runs on them all. (except for maybe some funky embedded hacked kernel installed on a ti83 calculator or something weird like that)

Yes. You can also get a linux version of prime95.

I have nvclock memtest and prime95 (gimps) installed thorugh Gentoo right now, and I've used cpuburn in the past.

They're both availabe under Gentoo and Ubuntu and probably other distros too.
