Their very first release really ipmressed me. I hadn't used suse 9 before, but the novell linux desktop (believe was 9.2) detected and had everything running fresh out of the install. There was only some issue about not being able to play some types of media that you could download something for. I thought it was definately getting closer to what the average home user could use desktop os- don't have to deal with anything to get stuff working right, just install and blam and everything was provided for you.
