Water cooling a X1900 XTX

Hello,

I emailed Dangerden and was told that my Maze4 GPU would fit the X1900 as long as I bought a new mounting bracket. Will I need to buy RAMsinks for the video card, and will I need to do anything to the card other than removing the stock heatsink in order for the Maze4 GPU to fit?

Thank you

I did the same. The standard box-shaped 4-point bracket should fit perfectly; it did so on my X1900XT.

I will have to represent the MCW60 camp. Its working wonderfully. I just have to get these damn ramsinks to stay on... guess I gotta get some AS adhesive.

Dangerden says I need to order something so it'll fit, but people in this thread says I don't? Is this right?

Can I just use the pieces that attach the maze4 to my current 9800 pro or do I need to order something new?

you should get a 4 bolt plastic brace that goes ontop of the card.. when i bought my maze4 i got a plastic brace with 2 holes for ati and a 4 hole one for nvidia....with this card.. the nvidia one fits.thus useing the 4 bolts on the block.. ill take pik of the brace if needed... im not actualy useing mine. im useing the metal one that came on the card

Can I see a picture of what you are talking about?

I don't think mine came with a brace.

I have an old school Maze4 (a couple years old-ish) anyone know if it will fit an X1900 without a hassle?

they switched to the 6800 mounting with the x1800/x1900s, it must be a new revision block

6800, 7800, 7900, x1800, x1900 all have the same mounting, which is different from older ati and 6600.

I guess I'll have to do some ghetto setup then.
