PWM IC in my smartguardian says 54c amd is red, what is PWM IC...rightg now I'm burning in an opty 170 ccb1e 0550vpmw...big typhoon with silverstone 110cfm fan@ 2200rpm...right now i'm currently burning in at 2.97 ghz, seems to run well hasn't gone above 45 degrees..actually I stopped for a second but all you have to do is open both apps and run them right?, i heard something about afinitiy to 1 or something, before it was 50 percent then i opned another one and it went to 100, i dont' kno whow to do affinity, if this will be fine let me know, thanks. plus I think this opty is a huge overclock, I bet you I can get it to 3.05ghz..right now its 1.5vcore

1.5 vcore is safe for long term overclock right!?!? .15 oc seems alright to me right? think i can go to 1.525 or 1.55?

thanks...and acceptable long term voltage of an opteron?? do you think 1.55v is too high? 1.5v?

I beleive your Opty is rated

170: OSA170DAA6CD 1.35/1.4V (JH E6 rev, 00020F32h) Toledo (Denmark), 2x1 MB L2, 2.0 GHz, x10, 110 W

I don't own an Opty (see sig), but I believe feeding 1.55V to my X2 (1.30V stock) is long-term safe... granted I'm running a WC system so temps are really cool. I'd say keep it under 50C at full dual prime load but that's just MHO.
