x1600 pro mods? flashes?

I just got a x1600 pro 512mb agp. BBA. I downloaded the latest omega drivers and installed. I benched with 3dmark01se, and im not too impressed yet....my 9500 pro made 15500 and this x1600 pro made 18000...im sure theres a setting something somewhere as I tested a x700 pro in before and it made 23k out of the box on ati catalyst drivers.......

any suggestions?

and too...my whole computer seems laggy now.....is it the omega drivers?

have you run a driver cleaner? I gotta admit I had a 512MB x1600 and I wasnt impressed either

yup i did, then tried the oem catalyst and it scored same.....is there an omega driver or ati x1x00 tweak guide? i mean, im not impressed, but its not bad for $25 after i sell my 9500 pro.

01SE is a bad inicator of peformance, run 2003 or 2005 to get a more accurate idea of speeds. As for guides the stickies are a good place to start

Isn't the X1600 like 12pipe 5shaders like the X800Pro? How can it be scoring so low? My old AXP system with a 9800 scored like 21000 in 3D2k1se.

You might want to try to install your chipset drivers again sometimes when you use a driver cleaner it also removes the AGP/PCI-E driver thus slowing your card down.

well it only made 4100 in 2005. i mean, i have a hot system and turning the graphics settings on high in world of warcraft makes the screen jump all over the place. i know people run it on high settings on laptops with integrated graphics, so It should be performing way better than it is....i was expexting like 22k in 01 and 6k-6.5k in 05.

X1600pro issues.

There seems to be very little real inside info. Yet my stats show a nearly%500 improvement over the old Ti4200. This old 3gig celeron with 768megs of ddr333 did score 6343 in 3dmark 03,the old ti4200 got 1500. Iam having exceptional luck with dvd and tv play. Really in 10 minutes this card was installed and registering online its been easy. It has yet to be overclocked, and I have tried a few of the msconfig ideas and yielded nothing above stock speeds. A soft mod to get x1800 speeds would be nice. A company called HIS has special software for the x1000 series and makes it effortless, however I have yet to find a copy of this unique program ??
