Saw a cool link on AMD Zone today:

http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?ht...workshop/s939pinmod/amd_socket939_pinmod.html

Shows how to change the voltage on the CPU with some speaker wire.

Sadly, it does not show how to raise the voltage above 1.550. :( (My MSI K8-N allows for that in the bios. It also lets the user raise the voltage 16.6% above that, but no higher.) :bang head

Apart from modding the motherboard itself, does anyone know if there a way to get the voltage any higher than that on a 939 core?

I guess you can run the speaker wire from the modded pins to 3.3v rail of your power supply, then you have 3.3v vcore :)

Just kidding-Dont do it.
