Been playing Oblivion (who hasnt right?) and I just dont think the 9800 cuts it anymore. It runs good with everything turned off but I'd like to see some of the bells and whisltes you know?

I am runnin it with a Venice 3000 @ 2.4ghz 1gb RAM

Are there any other AGP cards around 150-200 that are better then this card? I am on a tight budget.

Is the one I am thinkin about getting. If you have any advice or suggestions they are greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yeah you will definitely notice a pretty huge improvement over the 9800. Honestly if you can wait and shop around I just picked up a 7800GT on ebay for $200, which would push you forward 2 generations of cards instead of 1...

Yea I was thinking that too but then if I wait that long just around the corner from then something else will be close to being cheap =) I just want to get something right now! hehe

So do you think that PNY one is good or I just seen this one also

Although the "SE" in the name is really turning me off to that particular brand.

Anyone know the difference between SE and non SE?

or maybe this one

so confused...

Edit- oops "SE" one is PCI-X

You mean 7800GS... this is the last of the AGP breed.... :(

Yea, 6800gs will be a marked improvement... I went from a 9800pro (~3400 3DM05) to my current 6800gs (~5200 3DM05) and am very happy. Yea, make sure you look CLOSELY at those links, and get the proper (ie. AGP) card.

That will be a huge upgrade. But if you can still spare a little more on your budget, go for the best in AGP, which i believe is the 7800GS.
