If you scroll down to where the price hits about 180, you see something nice. A bunch of kits that are around 2-3-2-5 timing and 140-150 after a rebate, all by top brand and just a few other I'm not aware of. How do I choose?

I've got an Asus A8V Deluxe motherboard with an amd64 3000+. I just upgraded those parts and the case/psu in january and just like a week ago, my card to a 6800 GS. I figure my ram is cheaper and it's just 1 stick of 512, so why not upgrade that and be done with the computer instead of waiting.

I really don't do any overclocking so that's not really a factor to consider. Any suggestions?

go for the cheapest name brand ram you can find if your not overclocking, if you are outpost has some pc4000 2gb kits for about 150 after rebate, link ocz http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4754249?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG or mushkin http://shop3.outpost.com/product/4775619?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG , but the corsair vs kits have been going for like 139 at zzf. there is a possiblity these are uccc chips that tend to overclock high, those are the chips used in pc4000 kits.heres a link
