Have to restart windows to read cd.

Hello every one, I have a problem for some dumb *** reason I have to restart windows everytime I want to read a new cd. This happened after I had some windows trouble. The thing is if I put the cd or what ever in the drive and restart it works perfect.

Go into Device Manager and uninstall your IDE /ATAPI controller driver for the effective Drive, then restart windows

If that does not work format your hard drive install windows XP.

If that does not work you have a bad drive or controller or Cable.

Have to restart windows to read cd.
