Condensation & Insulation

Sorry if this has been asked, but i've searched the site, seen many threads where people have asked the question, including the "sticky" frosty pics & guide - which doesn't seem finished.

So can someone explain how you insulate the rig from frying the componets with water/ice & condensation.

Some pics would be great so I can visualise what it looks like.

Many thanks,

1DMF.

Some of the pre-fabs do, I havn't seen too many custom or DIY phase-change units use them though. I've seen them used on a large cascade project though.

I heard liquid electrical tape is good for insulation.

It's like nail polish... more of insulating electronically in case of condensation more so than thermally insulating :P

How important is the dielectric grease? Is it not sufficient with just the foam insulation? What if you don't run it 24/7?

(Sorry to hijack)
