Boot up speed differences between various Windows Operating Systems

Hi, I'm looking for information on how long it takes various Windows operating systems to boot up using the same computer system.

Info on boot up speed of Windows version 98 through Vista Beta would be nice.

Thanks for any suggestions or thoughts on this subject.

As for a chart comparing them, sorry I have never seen one like that nore can I find one on google. However I do remember reading that XP is designed to boot faster then all prior version, and in most cases I believe this to be true.

going from 2k to XP it cut my boot time by about a third. no comparison to other OS's though.

on a fresh install with only base OS and drivers?

i'd say 98 is the fastest (a LOT less services and such to load). 2k for some reason just bogs down once you get drivers on (in my experience) and XP would be a close 2nd to 98 (only because of all the extra stuff loaded on boot that 98 doesn't have to deal with).

My old Windows ME would load very fast, but had a ton of problems once it loaded. For me it was the fastest loading, but worst running OS.
