vertical position changes

Every time I turn on my monitor the vertical position changes - it goes down so I can only see half of the start taskbar. If I let the monitor "warm up" a bit the vertical position and resolution are fine. Is there any way to fix this, or do you think it's time for a new monitor?

I prefer LCDs ... The amount of desk space I have reclaimed is def worth the trade offs.

If you're into CRTs just about the best one you can buy is the one in my sig - the GDM-FW900... You can pick them up refurbished for around $350 shipped, retailed for $2100 when it came out.
