Widescreen.

Is there any 1680x1050 or high resolution widescreen notebook that is lightweight and also features a Core Duo? I've looked at the IBM Z series, but it doesn't have Core Duo, and I've also looked at the Dell E1705 and E1505, but they don't seem too light. I'm looking for downwards of about 5lbs, maybe even 6.

umm none that I can think of. for that res you looking at a min of 15.4 inch. and thats even an odd res on a 15.4 inch. Check out Dells lattuide 820. Light 15.4, dedicated GPU, finger bio thingy, sexy as hell, and solid battery life, and core Duo.

e1704 / inspiron 6400 arn't THAT heavy, they seem like the only options at the moment. i would check gateway offerings.. but you want something thats NOT made out of crackers right ?

e1704 is 6 pounds BTW
