issue with nero

I was just burning some .avi files to a dvd disc. I just wanted to burn as many as I could onto one dvd disc so I just wanted to do a data burn. Unfortunately in the nero burning rom that wasn't an option so I just chose DVD(iso) and took the standard steps. I gave the disc to my friend and now he's having trouble playing it. When he tried to copy it to his hd, he got parameter error. Any suggestions of what he can do so he can play the files and i dont have to reburn it (btw he has the divx).

edit: turns out he can play some of the files, but not the ones I renamed (i renamed them using nero), any suggestions?
