A guy on the Oblivion forums claims this.

I called him out asking for CPU-Z screenshots surely someone who's pulled that off would have had a screenshot already made up.

PM'd him, kept asking him in other threads, he wouldn't even respond to me.

Both PM and in the threads.

This was his system in his sig

funny how many things like this you see where people lie but dont know the true capacity of their hardware..

this guy just doesnt know what he's doing, those stix at 200 probably are 2-3-2-5

he probably got them to OC to 256 and left timings at auto and they probably opened up to 3-4-4-8 and he just doesnt know it, even if thats the case he's lucky cuz most NF4 boards wont do that for you... that is the only way he's not FOS

He ought to edit his sig to be "truthful". It's a little decieving.
I found where he states, at one time, to run 3335@513 in one thread in Guru http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=1657837&postcount=12. Oh well, to each his/her own.

I am running OCZ EL Platinum DDR400 2x1GB @ DDR500 3,4,3,6 1T wish I could keep 2,3,2,5 but the bios dies.

those are more realistic timings, there's no way any 2gb kits do 250 at 2.5 cas...

Esp CAS 2 at 1T DDR513, no way.

He was calling Gskills crappy and that this guys should spend mor eand get teh OCZ's.

He never responded to me once.

Can you send me a link I'd like to see the post. Some of the platinum 2 GB kits are using the same chips we use in the PC4000EB so it's completely feasible he is reaching those speeds. I've seen 5 or 6 other people getting the same results with pc3200 2GB kits. Though we obviously know they will not do those speeds with 2-3-2 timings

BTW, the guy "viszo" in there that was running 4x512 turns out he was running those sticks at 333mhz.

I helped him get his sticks running 2-2-2-5 DDR400 2T 4x512.

I have a couple of 1GB sticks of OCZ Platinum EL's that will do 2.5-3-2-5 at 250 with a divider. They're coming back from RMA tomorrow. I'll ramp 'em up and post a screeny.

what can you tell me about theese kits? i mean whats the difference.. and do they have TCCD?

Not too bad, I think. I got the memory to load windows at 265 but doing anything at all caused BSOD, even with looser timings and 2.9v. Oh wells, works for me.

are the memory chips in the 2gb plat kits different from the ones in the 1gb plat kit? my platinum(2x512) won't go past around 220 even at 3,4,4,8 w/ 2.9 volts
