So the x1900xtxs on the stock cooler have been overclocking better than the 7900gtx?

So the x1900xtxs on the stock cooler have been overclocking better than the 7900gtx?

I'm RMAing my 7900gtx card so I'm thinking I'm probably going to go w/ ATI this time around.

So I saw the sticky w/ the list of people's PCs, and I'm just trying to verify that 715/933 on the core/memory is essentially the same w/ an ATI card and Nvidia card? Making sure it's not like comparing a "4ghz" Intel to a "4ghz" AMD.

I don't mind noise, and my case is rather quiet anyway.

Yes, I'm wanting to buy a XTX so is this the best XTX to get?

Not planning on going Crossfire, as my mobo is for SLI :eh?:

its the same memory dude but NV always loosens the timings and have higher memory freq

the ATI cards have lower memory speeds and tighter timings

so ATI's 700/1700 will beat NV's 700/1900 or match it easily

the rig in my sig gets me over 13,000 in 3dmark05 on all stock cooling

Do you know what you go in 3dMark06? I never ran '05 on my 7900, just on my 7800 (which got around 8400-8500 if I remember correctly)

no way you 8500 with a 7800 lmao maybe with 2 superclocked in SLI

i got 6600 in 06 with this card.

06 favors NV and 05 favors ATI somewhat

In 3dmark *05* I got 8500ish, not *06*

seems like they alternate every release..... 01SE and 05 are both ATI favorable whereas 03 and 06 seem to respond better to Nvidia.

on my 7800gtx I got 9300 in 05 and 4800 in 06 with a 2.6 x2 3800, not to compare 2 diff gen cards but the 7900 is just a faster smaller version... and I wasnt happy with the 7800gtx and mine did 522/1400 + daily

there was a time I wanted to get a 7900gtx just to compare to a x1900, that urge has passed lol, If I were you I would do it just for sake of comparison and for fun, but I can tell you honestly I think you will like the x1900 better.

I got 9800 in 05 and 4700 in 06 with my XL OC'ed 625/730, my 170 was at 2.68Ghz in those test though. Just to help if a little comparison is needed since those scores are pretty close to each other.
