Just wanted anyone whos interested in a mainstream card to know that the 7600GS is quite a card, the xfx 7600gs with 500/900 clocks scores around ~4600 in 3dmark 05 out of the box without any tweaks and on the following budget system:
Sempron 3100+ (1.8ghz)
MSI K8N Neo3-F Sock 754 Mobo
1gb DDR (2x512 Samsung Value Ram, $40/stick)
XFX 7600GS 256mb
250gb Maxtor ATA133 HDD
Windows XP SP2
*newest nforce drivers and beta 84.43 display drivers*
Pretty good if you ask me, now i imagine you could probbaly push 5K out of this thing, maybe more, i wouldnt put a cooler on it because then its not much of a budget card if you add a $50+ cooler, so just use some cable ties, or screws big enough to screw a 80mm case fan onto it, and you can probably get a decent o/c out of it.
the card costs CAD$166 from www.ncix.com and right now is on sale for $150.
So for the gamer on a budget, this card is awsome, greatly outperforms the 6600GT which actually costs the same, if not more.
