Didn't really know where to put this thread.
But anyhow...

So I have this winamp file on my comp-and I canNOT delete it for the life of me.
I've tried everything, and right clicking on it doesn't give me a delete option-hell no rename option either.
I've tried everythign to delete it.
Virus scan e.t.c.

Is there another thing I can try?
Maybe going deeper into the computer system and find it and delete it?
I dunno what it is-it just seems locked there, not being able to be moved-or deleted.
The only thing I can do with it is to create a shortcut.

Try either...

Delete Doctor

... or Unlocker

Assuming you're running either XP or W2k, you could also try this method if the the above programs don't work for you...

Close all open programs, and click Start | Run | Type taskmgr.exe and click OK. Leave Task Manager open, and click Start | Run | Type cmd and click OK. Leave the Command Prompt window open, go to Task Manager and click the "Processes" tab; "End Process" on "Explorer.exe". Go to the Command Prompt window and navigate to the file that you'd like to delete, and enter del <filename>. Go back to Task Manager | Click "File" | New-->Task | Enter explorer.exe to restart the GUI.

The following MSKB article may also be of some help to you...

Log into safe mode (Press and hold F8 while booting, after BIOS startup screen). Get into safe mode . You should be log on as admin.

Try deleting the file from there.
