Is this a good deal...? It certainly looks like it... but I can't believe it... why's the price so darn low?

Uh... didn't X1800XT's use to be the king of the hill just only a few short months ago? Now it's selling at almost a dumping price... regardless of brand.

debating whether to get this or the 7900GT Extreme from XFX for $300...which seems to be a slightly overclocked version and prolly a lot quieter than the x1800xt.

im an ATI fan, but this is for a buddy's comp and im sure he doesnt want it to be that loud. =)

There are some realy badass quiet aftermarket coolers, like Artic Cooling Accelero X2.
