Overclocking problem

Before i start here are my specs"

630 3ghz *overclocking
X1800XT
Audigy 2zs
Asus P5GDC 915p
OCZ platinum DDR500 2x1g
Seagate IDE hdd
OCZ Powerstream PSU 520W Sli

Ok so this is the problem. I am able to reach 275 fsb so far with this mobo. I didnt want to push it further before asking this. I know im supposed to lock the pcie and pci clocks. But when I go to lock the PCIE to 100mhz it doesnt work, the computer wont post. No matter what i do.. I can still overclock but i notice when i start going 280fsb plus i see LAN problems..and other instability with graphics. Is this because of the 915 chipset?

I would put the blame on the chipset.

Try running clockgen and see if it can detect what your PCI/PCI-E Bus is running at.

Tried it, doesnt work. Pci bus is locked..but pcie is the problem Ah well. I guess il just give this comp mobo and proc and mem to my dad, and get me a new conroe machine for ocing..Dad says he might let me do conroe when school starts again in sept.

you might try locking it at 101mhz, or something close to that.
