Bluetooth problem(making sure a stack is on)

okay, I don't know where this question goes for sure, since bluetooth fits into so many categories, so I hope this is ok here

question is, I have a nice pair of wireless headphones, thing is they say to make sure Advanced Audio Distribution Profile is enabled, they just don't say where to check, so in windows, how do I check to make sure it is... 'cause the headphones sounded better a few days ago, so I'm thinking it's off, but again, I dunno how to check....
