Hey guys... I have a 754 A64, so when it came time to upgrade my vid card, i went with the eVGA 7800GS, since its the best AGP card out. But now i realize that there are a select few mobos out there with 754 socket AND a PCI-e 16x slot. So, i think its wise for me to buy a new mobo and do the step-up from 7800GS to 7900GT for almost no money. The only mobos i could find that has s754, pci-e 16x, AND look decent for OCing are these:

I was leaning more towards the ASRock since ive heard good things about them and i dont know much about biostar. What do you guys think of these mobos for my solution, or are there better mobos out there to meet my needs? thoughts?

Asrock has been good for me. Remember though, the first two boards are micr-ATX = fewer expansion slots

They are very nice and seem to have a lot of overclocking options, I didnt over clock with it as it was a customers system build.

The only thing im worried about in that board is it runs 800HTT, not 1000... i thought you kinda needed a board that could go to 1000HTT so that you could put the htt multi at 4x and have it be over 800 (>1000) and still be stable. with a 800HTT max board you have to lower the htt multi to 3x to get it at 600+ (>800). Or, does lowering the HTT not really affect performace that much... i think that might be the case. Also, i looked at the biostar mobo manual and the only stuff i could find for OCing was in their in-windows software... did you see any stuff in the BIOS for OCing? Im gonan double check that now...

by expansion slots, you're referring to PCI slots? The only thing that slightly worries me abotu these boards is that they only support 2 SATA drives, which kinda sucks.. i alreayd have 2x1 GB sticks, so thats fine. i DO have to double check that i dont have more PCI cards than these boards have slots for...
