What are my options for cooling?

Okay- i have a P4 Northwood 2.0 ghz overclocked to 2244.9. Regarding cooling i have one 80 mm intake, one 80 mm exhaust. My temps are this:

idle: CPU 41C mobo 27C
Load:CPU 55C mobo 28C

It seems that im pretty much maxing out how high i want the temps to be correct? Therefore i cannot continue to overclock. So what are my options as far as controling temps? My case doesn't have any more spaces for fans. Would the next step be to replace the stock heatsink and fan- or does someone have different advice for getting temps down so i can oc some more.

Your case temp doesn't change a lot under load, that's a good thing. I would suggest either replaceing the stock HSF or just replaceing the TIM with something better as a next step.

What is the TIM? And what is a good recommended HSF?

TIM stands for Thermal Interface Material. It's the past that you put between a HSF and a chip. General practice around here is to use Artic Silver 5 (AS5).
As far as a HSF, what socket is your Northwood? If it's skt478, then I would suggest the SI-120.

Okay- thanks for the clarification. A friend came over two days ago and applied some new TIM. I think its pretty good stuff as he is heavy into oc'ing. My northwood is a skt478. I have heard that the XP-90 is also a very good heatsink. What are your opinions on that vs the SI-120?

The XP-90 uses an 92mm fan, where the SI-120 uses a 120mm fan. The SI-120 is also larger. Given this, the SI-120 is a more effecient heatsink with less noise produced. However, the SI-120 is also a bit more expensive.

EDIT: Thanks TTP for pointing out my mistake with the fan size. Either way, the 120mm fans will push more air with less noise than a 92mm fan, generally.

The XP-90 can support a 92mm fan. I think the XP-90c is much better though. All copper. Thermalright has the new Ultra-90 that can be used with 478 socket.
