Why would OCing lower my temps?

After I threw my BT on my CPU, I started getting idle temps in the high 30s. That was much better than my previous 50s.

Since I had some cushion room, I started playing with my AI Booster software and OCd my system a little bit. I have it at 20% OC, which is at 3.36GHz CPU and 960MHz FSB. I also OCd my RAM to 4-4-4-12.

My temps dropped as a result. Is there something wrong with my reporting software? Or is it b/c it's working faster and doesn't have to get hot for as long?

Here is a screen shot.

it's probably just that your thermal paste is starting to set and that always causes temps to drop a bit
