fresh board = no power up...ideas?

Im affraid this is an RMA..but I just got a DFI infinity NF-4X, and low and behold I hit the switch..nothing....I just waited 4 days without using my tower because I needed a new powersupply and now the mobo is dead....if any of you have any ideas as to why this might not work let me know....PSU works on another board...but this is my first DFI so maybe I'm missing something...RMA is gonna take forever.

usually if the motherboard is "dead" it will still power on, it could be something simple like the motherboard being grounded to the case. Could also be the power switch? you might wanna try using a knife or screw driver to short the 2 pin the switch connects to.

I've tried setting the mobo outside of the case ontop of an anti-static bag and nothing...the switch in the case works because it worked when I pulled the old mobo out. Ok this is odd....so I had it plugged in for a few minutes while I was testing it to see if I can get it to power on...it won't but parts of the board where getting hot....?
