~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When did you join the Team? Approximate date is ok if you don't know the specific date.
First WU turned in a little less than a year ago - 5.10.05
If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow teammembers to know about, what would it be?
Well... I am in process of moving to a new IT position with my employer and leaving my current post with the company as a market analyst. I'm really pumped! ...it's been such a long time in the works I really almost can't believe it's actually happening = corporate America
What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?
EOC
You do not have to give specifics (address), but what State do you live in, and if you don't mind telling, what town? (town is not required, but if not a town, a general direction and distance from the nearest 'big town/city' would suffice)
Southeast Alabama... about 2.5 hours North of Panama City, FL
How did you initially hear about F@H?
From peoples sigs on OCF!
After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
I like to overclock... I really do! And now I like pernts! In all seriousness though, I am a cancer survivor and this is just a really cool way for me to give back to those less fortunate than me AND have a blast while I'm doing it!
What do you do for a living?
I think I already covered that one...
What do you do for fun?
You mean you people actually do something else besides (work with, play on, being attached to) a computer? So other than the machines... I do enjoy music(a lot... anyone here like Phish?), various sports, Spike TV, shooting on my pool table, I still play drums occassionally, and can't forget about having a few s with the boys on the weekend.
Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?
wow... that's tough. I don't really know if you would call it special... but I occansionally like to bottle cap a table.
Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?
Opteron 170 @ 300x9 1:1
DFI Ultra-D
2x512mb Patriot-XBLK PC4800 TCCD
eVGA 7800GT @ stock
Antec 1080AMG SOHO(slightly modded)
PCP&C 510-SLI Deluxe
74GB Raptor, WD160GB IDE, 2xWD320GB Sata-3Gb in RAID0
Plextor PX-716A
...and my newest addition- a Dell 2005FPW (I love this thing!)
This is it... this is my ultimate rig! It's stable, fast as heck, and until AM2 drops... I won't even think of upgrading this rig. The only thing that I may do in the next 6 months is drop a 2x1GB set of memory in it if I find the need. Maybe add a silencer on the gpu... but nothing drastic.
Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
I'll just list 'em...
(Home Farm)
OPT170(2.7), Ultra-D, PDP TCCD
XPM2500(2.52), AN7, Mushkin TCC5
XPM2600(2.4), AN7, Corsair TCCD
XP1800(2.2), KD7, Geil 3200 Value
Athlon 1400(1.6), KT7E, PQI PC133
2xK62-500, Epox & generic boards, generic PC100/133
New & Testing! - OPT144(2.8 right now), Ultra-D, OCZ TCCD
(Borg)
Winchester 3500(stock), ATI chipset, PC3200
(Other cpus I need mobos/ram for)
XP1700(2.2), need mobo, need ddr ram
Athlon 1200(1.4), need mobo, have sdr ram
Duron 1200, need mobo, have sdr ram
I NEED SOCKET A MOBOs!
What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
I'm going to concentrate on my current career move for the moment. No plans for marriage right now either... sorry ladies. I try not to plan too much too far ahead... the here and now is where it's at. You know you're not in control anyway. That's what God is for.
If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?
Nada... I'm good.
As a side note, if you have any pics (in jpg format for the dial-suck users) of things like your hobbies, computer(s), yourself, etc.... that you want to add to the thread to give people more of an idea of who you are?
@Mac- can't be sure if I drank all those or not. Humm, let me see... nope, probably not. I don't really care for miller products and I used some miller lite on that one. It's all about color and symmetry... no bottle cap should be treated unfairly due to its origin. After all, the bottle cap didn't get to pick which bottler it was shipped to. It might have wanted to be a Newcastle!
@Jim- I might need one or two more mobos, I've already picked up an Asus nF2 board off the classifieds... but I don't have anywhere to put them yet, working on that (gonna build some shelves in my computer room closet, unlike ghetto who just nails his mobos to the wall ). I think I'm still gonna try and get my other TBred-B and TBird folding and leave the Morgan core out as a spare.
@ihrsetrdr- Thanks for the kind wishes! I hope my capping skills inspire some others to take up the hobby. The only problem is that it's tough to produce tables at the same rate you produce caps, so what you end up with is a rather large supply of the suckers if you're not careful. Luckily, my best friends fiance loves to sort and separate the "incoming" cap bin for me on occasion.
Thanks again all! Team 32 is a great place to be and I'm very proud to serve teh FOLD with all of you great people!
