What seems to be the rad of choice for this application, 1 -2 120mm fans is what I would like to use with good results

yeah, the new Black Ice GTs are designed to work better with low cfm fans. Probably your best bet.

Sidewinder have the BIPIII for 37$, that would be a great buy.
I went for the BIPII because there is no way to mount the III for me, even on the top of the case the rad is bigger then my case...
