Hey Guys, ive been outta the pc scene for awhile now but just got a new rig running.

Im currently on
3000 venice 274x9 (max fsb)
asrock 939 dual sata 2
1gig (512x2) of patriot signature.
80gig seagate 7200rpm hdd.
and...ya i need a uhh video card, im ashamed to say what im using.

I dont need an omg top of the line card, but i want something that will produce decent frames. Im thinking of the x1800xt from saphire. It apparently is liked here alot from what i read. Anywho, let me know watcha guys think, lets keep it under 250 give or take =P.

That's the card I'll be getting..might spring for the 512mb verison though for 299.

from what ive seen/heard from zzf you can get the retail x1800xl 512mb for 199.99 and it so far has 100% flash to xt rate because it uses the 1.2ns memory and uses the same 6 mosfet pcb as the xt. Anyone else hear about this?

newegg has the x1800xt 512 for 239....is it worth the 39 dollars to risk it from zzf??

is 512 really that better currently then 256?
