i go ahead and create a CD also a floppy to boot memtest86+.

i follow the steps in a sticky above that tells how to use memtest86+, and i can only sucessfully create the CD and the floppy. i just can't run it!

i tried rebooting and then open the CD or floppy. it didnot run:

the CD shows nothing in it, but it shows the size of files in it, which is the same size as the ISO file. it shows i had created the CD correctly.

the floppy says it appears to be an unformatted disk.

Please help, thank you in advance.

Welcome to O/C forums! :welcome:

1) Use a new or formatted floppy disk
2)Create the memtest86 boot disk from here: http://www.memtest.org/

After your disk is created, be sure the floppy drive is the first boot-up device in the bios. Leave the memtest disk in the floppy drive: assuming it's done, then just reboot and watch it do it's thing :)

:welcome:

Yeah alot of the times people forget to make their cd/floppy drive the first int he boot order.
