So i fixed up my old HDD speaker. For those of you unaware, theres an oldschool mod from a site that shows you how to make speakers out of a hard drive. Anything works, as long as you don't care of the data on it. Pop off the top, solder 2 wires, and then solder those wires to a 1/8" jack and plug it into a sound source (or better yet, an amp + sound source). Sound comes out!

Can anyone guess the song playing?

btw, the song is an instrumental (the vocals are a quote).

Lamb of God is the artist

i rember afrotech.

i've always wondred though, do the sam princapals (i know i cnat speel!) apply to hard drive like speakers?

like the bigger the platter the lower the sound? (aka like more bass)

I believe so. I know he used a 5" HDD, a 3.5" and a laptop drive to make different pitches.

Well all a speaker is is conductive wire wrapped around a magnet... you can make one out of a tin pan and copper wire lol.. costs a heck of a lot cheaper too!
