pc locked?

my friend brought over his pc for me to fix, he said he cant log on because of the password, so he said wipe it, i said ok thinking it will be easy, but to my surprise i found out when you wanted to boot the pc a thing came up in a dos like screen saying enter current password, before you can enter the bios, i tried a boot disk, still no luck anyone have any tips??

btw its on windows 2000.

Try to see if you can clear the CMOS with the jumper if it has one.

Or remove the CMOS battery for about 15 seconds.
