well, i know some people got it to work but i cannot install the latest patch 1.3.

how did you guys do it? bf2 works fine without the patch on vista but whenever i try to install it, it messes everything up.

You are trying to use the full patch and not incrementaly right?

any opinion on why it doesn't work?? i know some people got it to work, let me know what you did

well sometimes the patch just has problems.

you can try a few things:

completely reinstall bf2 and try installing the patch (don't forget to clear out registry entries etc)
try updating incrementally
download the patch again from a dif site

yes, i tried all those options. the patch always mess up at the same spot. oh well, i just reinstalled xp and now it works great.

i guess because vista is still a beta version, we'll still have problems.
