haha, me too, and I've got a final today. Poor girl, 16 w/ a baby and gets arrested. You almost feel sorry for her, then you remember that she refused to return somebody else's possesion, used it, and then sold it.

That was priceless. It is just a shame that someone would have to go through all of that BS with the police dept.

I had a similar situation in college. My PC and 2 of my friends PCs were stolen by our roommate. We filed police reports, and even had witnesses, but the police didnt care. We had proof of them taking our stuff, and having physical posession of it, but the police didnt care.

I am glad he got it all worked out in the end though.

Well, the girl was arrested, and they will be getting the phone back. It is pretty much over, besides any further charges to the girl that found/stole the phone.

wow, that's...impressive. the poor guy just wanted his phone back, in return for which he loses sleep, days of work, has unfortunate run-ins with NYPD, subjected to online character assassination, is deluged with email such that he considers getting an intern, faces skyrocketing ISP costs, has to rein in would-be vigilante-stalkers, has a relative denied a visa, and in return for his efforts, he gets sued instead of an apology.
