power source


should i spend the money on a new power source. mine is 4 years old. how much sholud i spend. what should i look for

Why? If the old one works alright, and you aren't upgrading to AMD or another power-hungry component, I say leave it be.

You know the rule: "If it Ain't broke, don't fix it"

If you do decide to get one, I personally have had good luck with Enermax brand PSUs- but I've also used the generic ones with no problems either. Look to spend between $35 and $50 for a 350watter.

I just spent US$58 with shipping for an AMD approved 400W PS to replace my current 250W BrandX PS. That was the best price I could find at pricewatch.com for a 400 watter, so you should get a better proce for 350W. Happy hunting!
