What motherboard is it? If you can tell us what voltage your AGP slot can supply, i.e. 1.5 or 3V, that would help greatly for us to help you find out.

If I had to go off of memory, you should probably be looking at Voodoo3/4/5, TNT2, maybe Geforce1 or 2 cards, Kyro2, etc.

Or, OR! 8X or 4X cards will work in 2X boards! OMG! They do! Have done it before. Actually have a couple of boards running with 4x AGP cards that are 2x boards. It won't kill anything. You just might have some problems running games.

Seriously, you shouldn't have to worry bout that.

Hold your horses there partner! Most AGP 4x cards are "4X/2X", so they would work in 2x slots now if you actually are running 8x cards in there, its eaither a special card with compability, or the slot has the correct voltage and is some how able to work. It probably a combination of both of these.

Check the link lancing provided @ newegg

Notice "4x/2x"

How about you get a 2x/4x/8x card? There are cards out there that are double-keyed, that fit in both an AGP2x, and an AGP 4x/8x slot.

Whether it works or not I'm not going to guarantee
