I managed to go through all the dvds I got for Christmas. I had a pack of memorex dvd+r DL discs and maxell dvd +r's. I didn't have a problem with any of them until recently. The last DL dvds were coasters. I haven't changed anything to my burner or software. As it stands, the memorex dvds are much, much cheaper than the ones I originally planned on getting, Verbatims. Did I just get a bad pack, or are memorexes not of good quality?

Here is what I currently have picked out, let me know if I should get something different.

I use Maxell pretty much exclusivly and have never had a problem with them, some are a couple years old now and still work perfectly. I have used Memorex but my DVD burner doesn't like them, refuses to burn at anything higher than 4x.

Where's a good place to get either verbatim or TY dvd+r DL from? I can't find TY DL anywhere, and at $23 for a 10pack of verbatim I'd like to be able to find something cheaper if possible. If that's the cheapest I can find of the brand I can live with that.

Great...I go to sleep and wakeup 6 hours later and the 25 pack for $40 on buy.com is gone. I hate trying to find good deals for them. The shipping costs for these sites are rediculous, I would say it's cheaper to just get stuff from a store but they are even worse there. At staples it is about $4/DL disc.

I've got memorex CD-R and DVD +/-R's and they've all been great. No coasters in nearly a year. Never tried DL though.
