How can I access the system counter in OS X?

OS X should have a counter built-in that will tell me how long the system has been up since a last restart correct? If so, how can I see that counter? Thanks.

Try typing 'uptime' at the terminal (search for 'term' in spotlight, you should find an app called terminal or something similar)

If you're talking about a widget, I don't think there's one that comes standard with OSX, but you might find something floating around the web.

EDIT: here we go, straigt from the apple site: http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashb...offwidget.html
