trouble setting up raid w/ seagate 7200.10's

i just picked up my 2nd 320 GB 7200.10 and i prepped both drives for raid in the bios and raid bios....formatted...boot to XP cd...i get to the point of the first reboot after loading the sata raid drivers...i then get a stop error

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF72040D5, 0xF78D207C, 0xF78D1D78

iastor.sys - address F72040D5 base at F71C9000, datestamp 422F3BCC

i made 2 proper sata raid floppies and tried both

raid setup with no problem with my raptors

possibly related is that i get a storage controller error when i tried to use norton ghost to do a restore

i can't even install windows..help if you can
ADDITIONAL UPDATE:
i just tried my other sata raid floppy and so far so good, i am at the "quick" formatting option.....i will try that floppy with my ghosting next, which i prefer

This error message you got:

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF72040D5, 0xF78D207C, 0xF78D1D78

iastor.sys - address F72040D5 base at F71C9000, datestamp 422F3BCC

Could be a few things:

1) memory or heat
2) cdrom lens dirty/not reading the cd correctly or the cdrom itself is dying out.
3)Win XP cd is either damaged/scratched or it's dirty. Again the rom is not reading it correctly.

Setting up raid I have encounterd similar errors. usually checking these causes out sometimes fixed the issue. Hope this helps.

i was able to install XP
but what i really want to do is use norton ghost to do a restore, but when i get to the point in pointing to the restore image, i get an error:
EC950001, engine not initialised.....which has something to do with the storage controller

frustrating....
