So I went to my friends house to help him overclock his setup.
He has a 4800+ X2 with the A8R32 crossfire asus board.

I go into the bios to start overclocking and I hit a brick wall.

First of all let me say I don't claim to be an uber overclocker but I've overclocked ALL my computer since pentium 2 days so I know a bit.

I've never felt so overwhelmed in a bios before and not so much that it had too many settings, its just that the terminalogy is almost impossible to understand vs. other Mboard I've worked on and for some reason most things a pre-determined values when those values are usually outputs of other value changes.

For example the HTT (fsb).
Why is it the HTT has predetermined values of 1hgz-800hz-600mhz-etc when the FSB value is actually the end result of the HTT multipler x CPU frequency.

And whats with the divider? It doesn't have one. It just has predetermined mhz values to set for the ram.

There was alot of other crap that was all preset values to choose from.
Is this an asus thing or is this because its the crossfire board??
