"Free" upgrade 7800GT to 7900GT

I see I can get a new XFX 7900GT at Newegg for $239 + $6 shipping (With a $30 mail in rebate)
Used 7800GTs are selling on Ebay for between $200 and $260 shipped.

Maybe folks doubling up for SLI upgrades need another 7800 GT and are paying a premium for used cards since they are discontinued. But this means I could probably do a "free" upgrade. Is it worth the effort? Is the 7900GT significantly better than the 7800?

(In case you were wondering, 7900 GT's on Ebay are more than the Newegg sale price with rebate.)

I noticed quite a bit of difference between the 7800GT i had and the 7900GT i have now.

i noticed mahusove difference betwwen my 7800gt and my 7900gtx. even from 7800gt sli
