Is there such a thing as good educational software?

I've used some educational software before and it all seams to be the same crap over and over. 256 colors, 640 x 480, and painful to sit through, let alone complete.

Does anyone know of a company that makes educational software that is actually fun and/or interesting? Maybe a video game that has puzzles in it that are based on whatever the program is trying to teach. I dunno if anything like this exist, but I've sure as hell never seen any educational software that was worth anything in my life.

Well I believe it only goes up to about 9th grade(??) though the Reader Rabbit line is actually decent software for learning. When I wa younger I used to like it so much I would play it for fun.

lol, a page full of affiliate advertising links

This is a forum for computer geeks. Most of us know when something is fake, and that is just too obvious.
