Help match my ram with a dual core 939 cpu

Like many others I've been tempted by recent price drops to keep my system alive for awhile with a cheap dual core upgrade. I'm trying to get a processor that matches the bandwidth of my OCZ El platinum 2gb set. I wouldn't want to spend $360 on an X2 4800+ if my ram is just going to hold it back. Then again I'd like to take full advantage of my sytem and use all of the memorys potential.
My particular set doesn't really overclock as it was made for low latency rather than high frequency. At 200mhz\1t or just over it can push about 6000mb\s. At what point will a cpu be bottlenecked? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
